Reforest the Bluegrass

Reforest the Bluegrass 2012

Saturday, April 14th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Legacy Trail at Spindletop

3414 Iron Works Pike

Be part of the effort to recreate streamside forests that were once native to the inner Bluegrass Region of Kentucky. Through Reforest the Bluegrass, Lexington is progressively restoring the long-lost benefits of streamside forests for generations to come. This is a crucial step to protecting our valuable water resources and enhancing our living standards.

Volunteers will receive free lunch, tree-planting
training and a t-shirt (first come, first served).

Directions:

The Spindletop entrance is .8 miles from Newtown Pike and 1.6 miles from the I-75 exit. Once you turn into the gate, bear right and continue to the intersection. Turn right at the intersection and park behind the pool at the lot on the left.

You are still welcome to participate in Reforest the Bluegrass if you have found
this site after preregistration has ended. See you there!

Have you participated in Reforest the Bluegrass before? Are you interested in being more involved?
Be a crew leader! Contact John at jsaylor@lexingtonky.gov for more information.
